Appeal under Section 29 of the Education Act
An appeal may be made to Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB) in respect of a decision by the Board of Management of a DDLETB school, as defined in the Education Act 1998, or by a person acting on behalf of the board of management, to:
a) permanently exclude a pupil
b) suspend a pupil for a school for a period which would bring the cumulative period of
suspension to 20 school days in any one school year
c) refuse to enrol a child
