This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 level AA, due to the non-accessible content listed below.

Non-Accessible Content

DDLETB are working to improve the accessibility compliance of the website and will endeavour to apply all accessibility standards to content being published to the website going forward.

Some content on DDLETB’s website do not fully comply with the European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020. For example:

  • PDFs: some documents in PDF format are not fully accessible and lack a correct table heading tab order or headings, have invalid language attributes, contain invalid or missing table structures.
  • Tables: some tables do not have correctly defined headers. This makes it difficult to be compatible with screen readers of voice recognition software to read the content on the site.
  • Images: some images may not have additional added text and are not fully accessible throughout the website.
  • Colour contrast: a number of pages may contain items with a lack of proper colour contrast; all of which are currently being updated.

This is not an exhaustive list of non-accessible content, and we will work through these and other issues to address them.

Exempt Content

PDF documents published before 23rd September 2018 are exempt from the scope of the 2020 regulations. However, if you wish to receive any inaccessible content that was published on the site, please contact DDLETB.

Preparation of this Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on 29th July 2026.

In preparation for this statement an evaluation of the website’s compliance with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 will be carried out by way of an automated auditing tool (axe Monitor from Deque) by the National Disability Authority in April & September against WCAG 2.1 to highlight accessibility issues through a Simplified Review of the website.

Other tools used by DDLETB staff and its web developer to assist with improving the website’s compliance included the Microsoft Accessibility Checker, Accessibility Check (Acrobat DC) and Chrome developer tools and axe Dev Tools.

The Simplified Review is conducted against a subset of Success Criteria from WCAG 2.1 AA and is conducted on a weekly basis.
