Community Education

Community Education offers flexible education and learning programmes to individuals and to groups which take place within local communities and are organised by the local Adult Education Service. They provide the supports necessary for students particularly guidance, mentoring and continuous feedback.
Courses are provided to individuals by the Adult Education service and also to a variety of different groups for example Women’s Groups, Men’s Groups, Disability Groups, Active Retirement Groups and Local Development Groups by the Community Education Facilitator.
Classes generally run for 6—10 weeks, subject to requirements. There are many programmes available ranging from arts and crafts to parenting and personal development.

A minimal fee is charged for these courses.
