Coláiste de hÍde 21st Century School of Distinction AwardHaving applied for the 21st Century School of Distinction award 2015-16, Coláiste de hÍde has been selected by TCD as a Future Vision School this year based on the school’s submission under the following core practices:

College Awareness, Leadership through Service and 21st Century Teaching and Learning.
The panel made the following observations; they noted that there was a lot of strong work taking place, remarked that it was taking place in discrete rather than integrated areas and identified future plans across the core practices.
The benefits of being a Future Vision School within this award programme are:
·       TCD will offer 3 consultation sessions with the Trinity Access 21 team throughout the next academic year to build on our current portfolio of core practices.
·       TCD will also offer Coláiste de hÍde 5 places at a discounted rate of 300 euro on the Postgraduate Certificate in 21st Century Teaching and Learning in Trinity College for the 2016-17 session, which will support teachers to pursue CPD related to building school capacity across these areas and in relation to the use of technology in teaching and learning.
·       Any materials Colaiste de hÍde included in the digital portfolio will be included in the digital tool-kit as examples of practices that other schools adapt.
As a Future Vision School 2015-16, TCD would like Coláiste de hÍde to build on the identified core practices in order to consider application as a School of Distinction in the forthcoming year.
