DDLETB launches Official Languages Scheme 2017-2020
The CEO of Dublin and Dún Laoghaire ETB Mr. Paddy Lavelle is happy to launch the Official Languages Scheme of the Board which will be in place until 2020. This is the Board’s first Official Languages Scheme and recognises our responsibility towards the Irish language within our schools and centres.

The Scheme was approved by the Minister of State Sean Kyne. It commenced on 10th April 2017 and will remain in place for 3 years, 10th April 2020, at which time it is will be reviewed and a new scheme published for a further 3 year period. The Scheme outlines a number of key commitments in relation to the Board’s activities in actively promoting the Irish language within DDLETB Schools and Centres. The full scheme is available to download from our website at http://www.ddletb.ie/Util/Publications/Official-Languages-Scheme/Official-Languages-Scheme.aspx?search=1&view=0

We hope that through implementing this scheme, the Board can move further in promoting the Irish language within all our schools and centres to both staff and students alike.
